Helena Public Schools Encourages Participation in Innovative Education Program Tax Credit
December 16, 2024
The Helena School District is raising awareness about Montana’s Innovative Educational Program (IEP) Tax Credit, offering a unique opportunity for businesses and individuals to support local schools while receiving a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit.
Last year, Helena raised $22,000, but other communities far exceeded this amount. With a statewide cap of $6 million for 2025 and individual credits of up to $200,000, this year’s potential is greater than ever. Contributions fund critical needs like career programs, technology, and adaptive equipment for students.
Act quickly: The IEP giving portal opens January 15, 2025, at 10 a.m. Donations are first-come, first-served. Contact your accountant or Helena Public Schools Business Services for assistance.
